Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President SAE ITC
As Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Fabian Koark leads SAE Industry Technology Consortia, the consortia entity of the Society of Automotive Engineers. In this role, Fabian leads the effort to identify and mitigate the primary and secondary issues of mobility worldwide.
Prior to his current position, Fabian Koark managed CARIAD’s Center of Expertise for software development. In this position, Fabian developed the software competence in his organization to achieve engineering excellence for automotive software. All members of this center develop automotive software features for charging and energy management for multiple Volkswagen brands.
Before Fabian joined CARIAD SE he was CEO of INVENSITY Inc. in Detroit, Michigan. As a consultant, Fabian executed over 75 engineering and engineering management projects for clients like Daimler, BMW, SAIC, ZF, Bosch, Continental, Lear, AAM and Dräxlmaier - in Germany, the USA and China. He shared his expertise as SAE referent, host, and the author of multiple publications.
Fabian started his professional career after graduating from TU Darmstadt/Germany & UCSB/USA with a Master in Science. In 2011, he established the Center of Excellence for Organizational Change. After spending time in Shanghai China to start INVENSITY’s operation in Asia in 2014, he prepared the further expansion in North America.
As volunteer, Fabian supports the non-profit GAMIC (Global Automotive and Mobility Innovation Challenge) as start-up supporter, coach and judge. To support the development of the City of Detroit, Fabian acts as founding Member of Corktown Historic Development and Beaubien Property Acquisitions.
Chairperson Siemens Digital Industries Software
Del Costy is Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Americas for Siemens Digital Industries Software, a leading provider of the automation and digitalization technologies transforming industry. In this role, Del oversees the customer relationships delivering digital solutions for agility, efficiency and new business value to companies across North and South America. This includes championing Digital Industries’ Xcelerator portfolio and its integrated software and application tools tailored to meet customers’ specific needs as they pursue digital transformation.
Before his current role, Del was the U.S. Country Manager, responsible for operations in Siemens Digital Industries Software’s largest revenue country. He has also held leadership positions in several vertical businesses focused on automotive, transportation & heavy equipment solutions.
Prior to joining Siemens, Del spent a decade in the automotive supplier community supporting vehicle programs in both product development and manufacturing. In addition to his management experience, he has served as a Technical Sales Engineer for Abex Friction Products, now a division of Federal Mogul, and provided manufacturing consulting focused on the application of software tools to drive manufacturing plant optimization.
Del holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University and received his Bachelor of Science in applied engineering sciences from Michigan State University. He also serves on the board for SAE ITC.

Alan Berger has over 30 years of international product development experience in the off-highway vehicle industry, much of which he gained through roles of increasing importance with Volvo Construction Equipment culminating in the role of Senior Vice President, Technology followed by Chief Technology Officer at CNH Industrial.
Alan now co-leads abcg™, an advisory practice. The practice offers unrivalled experience, deep industry knowledge and an external 360o perspective to clients, qualifying them to deliver accelerated, sustainable transformation that propels business performance from good to exceptional. Equally focused on delivering successful outcomes as well as conceiving strategy, abcg™ help to identity and remove points of friction and provide hands on support to implement the required change.
Alan holds an MBA from J.L Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Illinois, USA; together with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Applied Mathematics and a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh, USA. He holds 21 U.S. patents and is an Independent Director at Multi-Wing A/S in addition to being past board chair of the SAE ITC.
Director Alstom
Isabelle Caron is the Site Managing Director at Alstom, located in Hennigsdorf , Germany.
Ms. Caron is a seasoned operational executive with an extensive background in quality, lean, planning, corporate governance and operational performance. She has been with Bombardier and now Alstom since June 2018.
Previously, she worked for Rolls-Royce since 2009 having held a series of roles across Canada, the USA, and in the U.K. in quality, continuous improvements and operations.
Prior to this position, Ms. Caron gained experience in the medical device and the electronic manufacturing sectors.
Ms. Caron graduated in business management at McGill University.
Ms. Caron is certified as a Lean Sigma Black Belt, Lean Coach, and Lead Auditor for ISO9001, ISO14001, AS9100.
Director Port of Rotterdam
Ori Marom, PhD, is head of the Autonomous Transport Centre at the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. In this role he is responsible for various artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous vehicle projects over land, water and air.
In addition, Ori is the owner of Segmentis, a pricing and revenue-management consultancy. He consulted companies on multi-channel pricing strategies, and marketplace platforms.
Prior to founding Segmentis in 2014, he was an assistant professor at the Rotterdam School of Management, co-founder of 2deal GmbH and chief scientist at DealAngel.
Ori holds a Ph.D. in information systems economics from the University of Rochester (New York), an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a BA (Magna Cum Laude) in economics and management from Tel Aviv University.

Treasurer/Secretary SAE ITC
Brian Trybend is the Chief Financial Officer of SAE International. In this role, Brian is responsible for the organization's overall financial strategies and policies, accounting practices, and relationships with lending institutions and the financial community. With respect to investments, Brian works directly with the SAE Finance Committee and Investment Advisor to oversee the Enterprise's investment portfolio of more than $160M.
Brian is a key member of SAE’s strategy team and has been instrumental in developing SAE’s strategic plans and annual business plans. In addition, he has led many of SAE’s acquisition efforts and played a key role in establishing SAE’s global operations in China. Brian has over 30 years of for-profit and non-profit experience, both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining SAE in June 2000, he worked in public accounting, providing both audit and tax services to a diverse client base including individuals, for profit, not for profit, and governmental entities. After public accounting, he moved into a lead tax position with a multi-billion-dollar health system and then held a similar role with a multi-billion-dollar power generation company. In both roles, his focus was on mergers and acquisitions.
Brian received his B.A. degree in accounting from Washington and Jefferson College and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Association Executives (PSAE), the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
