Vehicle Automation Symposium: Getting to SAE Level 4

Vehicle Automation Symposium: Getting to SAE Level 4

Join the Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium (AVSC) at the Vehicle Automation Symposium from May 7-8, 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Researchers forecast that by 2025 we will see approximately 8 million autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles on the road. As Automated Driving Systems move vehicles from pilots to “on road” application, there are still many critical technologic and application challenges before SAE L4 high automation systems will be allowed in mass deployment by governments. The industry has invested many resources in the development of L4 applications, however, continues to face many obstacles to deploy commercially.

To help the industry advance, this event shares the exchange of practical experiences from leading experts representing OEMs, government agencies and discrete part developers representing both hardware and software perspectives to answer the question – how do we get to mass deployment of L4 vehicles? Real world applications will be featured in this event include point to point (robotaxi) to long haul commercial vehicle. Take this opportunity to network and problem solve at an event from the organization that designed the levels of driving automation!

Topics to be addressed include:

  • Security and Connectivity
  • Standards
  • Legislation and Adoption of L4
  • Verification and validation
  • System Architecture
  • Sensors and Actuators
